NISHIJIN-ORI ART

New colour, inherited craft.

A collaboration with Japanese craftKyoto, Japan
NISHIJIN-ORI ART
THE STORY

Nishijin weaving meets contemporary expression.

Kyoto’s Nishijin weaving tradition meets nanahachika.’s hommage art. Contemporary expression and inherited expertise come together to carry Japanese culture and craft forward.

Painted colour is expressed through interwoven threads. Subtle hues and dimensional textures give the works a new presence.

01 / TRADITION IN COLOUR

Another expression, woven in thread.

The catalogue presents “夜明けの宴と花火,” “時を駆け抜ける” and “Orange Judy.” Woven details bring a distinct texture and depth, with certificates documented for the works.
